AI is not involved in the creation of any text, not even during the creative processes involved in coming up with the texts.

I do use tools for translating the content, which may or may not use AI internally. However, I only use automatic translation for languages I speak. After translation I do proofread the results to check that no meanings were altered. I use automatic translation only to speed up the process, as I am slow in translating and finding the right words and phrases.

Images

I do not use AI image generation. You probably noticed the lack of images on the website.

Several of my friends are artists who are suffering greatly because of the AI image generation boom. Their works fueled the training of the AI models without compensation. Now the AI takes over and the artists get nothing.

If you see any image on this website, I either took it myself, made it myself, procedurally generated it (the old school way) or paid one of my artist friends to make it for me.

Code

I do use AI assistance in the programming of this website. But this website is by no means “vibe-coded”.

I take care to keep this website independent of any tooling. If AI ceases to exist tomorrow, I would not care. I understand every line of code and can continue without problems.

This website started as a playground to test web-technologies for me, and I want to keep it this way. No sense in having a playground if only the AI is having fun playing in it, right?
